Easy Group Text

* Please note if you have upgraded to the latest Apple OS the default setting for messages on your iPhone becomes iMessage which needs to be turned off. Got to SETTINGS > MESSAGES and turn OFF.

How Easy Group Text Works

The EasyGroupText iphone application simply allows users to create and store contact groups which they can then send group SMS text messages to. The app will deliver the group text message using the mobile phone carrier of the iPhone user. Hence there is no  need to login to an online interface, everything is done directly from the EasyGroupText iPhone app. Once you set the group up you can select contacts from your iPhone’s contacts that you wish to add to your created group. You can create as many groups as  you like, you give the group a name and you can select a picture for the group from your camera roll.

The contacts in your groups can be added to at anytime by clicking “View Group” and “+” to add additional contacts. You can also delete contacts by selecting them and clicking the trash symbol. If you wish do delete a group you can do so by clicking the group from the app home page and choosing the option “Delete Group”. If you wish to rename or change just click the group and change the name and select your new picture from the camera roll and click “Update”.

Does it work if I want to forward an incoming sms to a group?

I’m finding that I still have to select each one individually. Why would this be?

If I create a group with this app do all the names on my group see each other? If the participants hit reply all, does everyone get their response or do those responses all come back to me so that I have control over what everyone in the group sees or doesn’t see?

No if they hit reply the message will just come back to you.

No it only works for a new text SMS you create. The video on the home page shows how you can send a message to all contacts in the group by choosing “SELECT ALL”
